Yiannoula (Manolakoudi) Bayiates, 84, of Watertown, Massachusetts passed away on January 23, 2022. She was born in  Panagia , Limnos, Greece. Beloved wife of the late Christos Bayiates. Devoted mother of Arthur Bayiates and his wife Alison, Angela Bayiates, and Valerie Knell and her husband Kevin. Cherished Yiayia of Christa Knell, Elizabeth Knell, Christopher Bayiates, and Lillian Bayiates. Loving sister of Trifonas Manolakoudis and his wife Theodora, Zafero Pseftoudi, and the late Katina Kehagias, Marika Tsagdis, Haralambos Manolakoudis, and Panayoti Manolakoudis. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a fabulous cook and enjoyed entertaining family and friends, cooking delicious Greek food and pastries.  She loved gardening, knitting, embroidering, and crocheting. She enjoyed returning to Greece to visit family.  She was a devout Orthodox Christian.  She will be sadly missed.  Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, January 27, 2022 at Taxiarchae Greek Orthodox Church, 25 Bigelow Avenue, Watertown, Massachusetts at 10:30AM. There will be a brief visitation from 9:30 AM to 10:30AM at the church. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to above named church.  Burial in Ridgelawn Cemetery, Watertown, Massachusetts. Due to the current pandemic CDC Guidelines will be followed.
