Stavropoulos, William -- A lifelong resident of Cambridge, MA died peacefully on April 30, 2007 at the age of 92. Beloved husband of 58 years of the late Beatrice (Vekos) Stavropoulos. Devoted father of Irene Pappadopoulos and her husband Theodore of Cambridge, MA and John and his wife Karen of Burlington, MA. Cherished "papou\x94 (grandfather) of Ted of N. Ferrisburg, VT, Bill and his wife Darlene of Norwood, MA, Eva of Cambridge, MA and John and his wife Erica of Danvers, MA. Survived by many nieces and nephews. Proud "SeaBee\x94 during World War II serving with the 130th U. S. Naval Construction Battalion on Okinawa. Founder, owner and operator of B & T Refrigeration for over 30 years. Valued parishioner at the Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church in Cambridge serving on the parish council over a span of fifty years and instrumental in organizing a boy scout troop, basketball league, church festivals as well as the construction of a community center and Greek School. Helped organize the Greek American Political Association and active participant in the Democratic Ward Committee in Cambridge. A Shrine Mason (50+years), Charity Lodge, St Paul\x92s Royal Arch Chapter, Boston Commandry No.2, Aleppo Temple Motor Patrol. Ardent supporter of the Shriners Burns Hospital.
