Obituary

William M. Grim, Jr., 86 William M. Grim, Jr., a long-term resident of Lincoln, MA, and more recently North Andover, MA, passed away peacefully on January 4, 2010. Bill was the grandson of a civil war veteran and was born and raised in White Plains, NY. His studies at New York University were interrupted by service in the Army Signal Corps during WWII, and he earned his M.S.E.E. from M.I.T. in 1950. He was employed by General Electric Laboratories, the Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, and Mitre. Bill was a member of the First Parish in Lincoln and an active participant in town affairs including Scouting and the Council on Aging. Bill was predeceased by his wife, B (Barbara Grow), parents W. Manning and Lena C (Folger) Grim, as well as his brother Jay and sister Claire (Grim) Minogue. Bill is survived by his children William M. (Terry) Grim III and his wife Renée Llorente of Groveland, David Grim and his wife Dianne of Ellington, CT, and Sally Grim-Concheff and her husband Jon Concheff of Colorado Springs, CO; and granddaughters ENS Ashley USCG of Kodiak, AK, Valerie and Juliana of Groveland, MA, and Lindsay of Ellington, CT. He is also survived several nieces and nephews and their children. A memorial service will be held at The Meadows at Edgewood Retirement Community in North Andover at a date to be determined.
