After a courageous battle against cancer, longtime Chelsea resident Virginia Ann "Ginny" Diranian, passed away on March 25, 2025.
A true social butterfly, Ginny had an extraordinary gift for bringing people together and making lifelong friendships wherever she went. A fashionista at heart, Ginny had an impeccable sense of style, always dressed to impress and ready to share her latest finds. She believed that clothing was an extension of one's personality, and she used fashion as a way to express her vibrant soul. Whether it was a casual lunch or a grand event, she never missed a chance to make a statement.
Though she had no children of her own, Ginny was lovingly known as "Auntie" or "Thea" to many—offering guidance, love, and a listening ear to friends and family alike. Her presence was always accompanied by warmth, often greeting loved ones with affectionate terms of endearment or parting ways with a catchy one-liner that left everyone smiling. Whether it was a heartfelt "Hi, sweetie" or a playful "see ya later alligator" when saying bye, her words had a way of making people feel special, seen, and loved. Ginny took pride in her Greek and Armenian heritage, embracing the vibrant culture of both backgrounds. Whether it was attending Greek festivals and Armenian picnics or educating others about her roots, she carried her ancestry with love. Ginny leaves behind a legacy of unforgettable memories. A radiant spirit that brought her friends and family close together as they rallied behind her cancer journey while she remained positive and fought her hardest.
