Theodore was an incredible source of inspiration for all of his children. In 1968 he arrived from Greece to America with his beautiful wife, Effie, with vision of achieving the American dream. His work ethic was unmatched as he truly dedicated himself fully to all of his goals. He embodied the essence of the "American Dream". He deeply loved his wife, three children, and his one and only granddaughter, Christina all with his faith in God. They simply don't make men like him anymore. He was truly one of a kind. Husband of the late Effie (Bantos) Makarios. Father of Sylvia Makarios, Perry Makarios & his wife Anna, Susan Makarios & her husband Anastasios Koronios.  Papou of Christina Makarios Campbell. Brother of the late Eleftheria Athanasiades. Also survived by many nieces, nephews,relatives and friends. Funeral service on Saturday, October 19th at 10 am at St. Nectarios Greek Orthodox Church, 39 Belgrade Ave., Roslindale, MA. A brief visitation will be held in the church prior to the funeral services from 9-10 am. Burial in the Gardens Cemetery, West Roxbury. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to the above named church.
