Sophia (Righellis) Martakis, 81, of Beverly, Mass., passed away at the Kaplan Family Hospice House on December 16, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Cambridge, Mass. Daughter of the late Peter and Penelope (Chiklakis) Righellis. Beloved wife of the late Charles Martakis. Devoted mother of Joanne Wahl and her husband Thomas, Theone Gaeta and her husband Michael, and the late Charles P. Martakis. Cherished grandmother of Jessica Wahl, Cassandra Wahl, Ross Wahl, and Alyviah Martakis-Wideman. Loving sister of George Righellis and his wife Jeanne, and the late Efstratios Righellis. Dear Friend of Ann Righellis. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and dear friends. Former proprietor of Emerson Restaurant in Boston, Mass. Late employee of Stride Rite and Citizens Bank both in Cambridge, Mass. She loved spending time with her grandchildren whom she loved dearly. She will be sadly missed. Interment in Ridgelawn Cemetery.
