Sophia (Goullas) Coupounas 99, of Chestnut Hill and Scotia New York died at the Brigham and Women's Hospital on Dec. 2, 2003. Devoted wife of the late Demetrios Coupounas, loving mother of George D. Coupounas and his wife Angelyn, of Chestnut Hill, grandmother of Dean Sorensen and his wife Margaret of Sacremento, CA., Demetera Christopher and her husband James of Terryville, CT., and Demetrios Coupounas and his wife Kimberly of Boulder, CO. She is also survived by five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter Stavroula Sorensen.
