Colt
July 16, 1936 – March 5, 2025
Dr. S. George Colt, of Stoneham, MA, died on March 5, 2025. He was a 1957 undergraduate of Tufts University, a 1961 graduate of Tufts Dental School, and the first to complete a specialty in Prosthodontics at Tufts Dental School in 1970, graduating at the top of his class. His specialty was color and aesthetics. He published many articles and lectured globally about these subjects. He was a voracious reader and researcher on all things Greek: history, culture and language, and was extremely proud of his heritage. He was a member of the Alpha Omega Society, a professional Greek organization and held various leadership positions throughout the years. He had a passion for travel and had been to five continents. He was an avid tennis player and skier. He was a member of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral of New England. He served in the US Air Force as a medic from 1961 to 1964 at the rank of Captain and was stationed in Germany where he met his late former wife, Ellen Elizabeth (Saritchow) Colt. He was the loving father of Audrey Colt, Esq. and Christopher Colt and son of the late George and Katherine (Jouvelekas) Coulouriotes. He was the last surviving brother of the late John Coulouriotes (Colt), Alexander Colt, and James Colt. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Funeral Service on Thursday, March 13, 2025 at the Taxiarchae Greek Orthodox Church, 25 Bigelow Ave., Watertown, MA at 11AM. Visitation at the church from 10AM to 11AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the above named church or to the Alzheimer's Association, 320 Nevada Street, #201, Newton, MA 02460. Burial at the Gardens Cemetery, West Roxbury, Massachusetts.
