Rosemary Rohmer, 85, of Brookline, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on September 6, 2017. She was born in Brooklyn, New York on July 3, 1932. Daughter of the late Arthur and Rose (Roberts) Rohmer. She graduated Valedictorian from Needham High School and attended Catherine Gibbs School. She later worked as an Assistant Director of Advertising at Humphrey, Brown & MacDougall, and later worked at Harold Cabot, where she was a great mentor to her colleagues. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grand nieces and nephews. She enjoyed traveling and reading. She will be sadly missed by her family and dear friends. She was the beloved wife of the late James Ryan. Step Mother of Mari-Elizabeth Ryan, and Christopher Ryan. Loving sister of Jeanne Southmayd, and the late Madeline Reardon. Devoted aunt of John W. Southmayd and his wife Elinne, Julie Southmayd and her husband Peter Rizzo, Jeffrey Southmayd, Adrianne Reardon, and Deanna Reardon. Great aunt of William Southmayd and Nicole Southmayd. Also survived by many relatives and friends. Funeral Mass on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 10AM in St. Mary of The Assumption Parish, 5 Linden Place, Brookline, MA 02445 .
