Roseanne Hegger's Obituary

Roseanne Hegger, longtime Waltham resident, formerly of Watertown, Cambridge and Arlington MA, passed away suddenly at home on July 16, 2024. She was 67 years old.

Born in Cambridge, MA on November 17, 1956. She was the loving daughter of the late Tena (Sperison) and Louis Hegger of Watertown.

She leaves behind her beloved son, Jameson Hegger of Dunwoody, GA.

She was the sister of Tena Marie Wallace  and her husband Clayton, Betty Lou Canty and her husband Bill, Laureen Hegger, Louis Hegger and the late Thomas Hegger.  She is also survived by her nephews Raymond and Devon Harris. She was the former wife of Joseph McNaught of Burlington, MA.

Roseanne grew up in East Watertown and graduated from Watertown High School, Class of 1974. She studied Accounting, Secretarial and Business Administration.

Her career spanned across many years of working for United States Army Materials and Mechanics Research Center (AMMRC) at The Watertown Arsenal, Raytheon Equipment Division Manufacturing in Waltham, Perkins School for the Blind in Watertown and New England Financial & Accounting Services in Newton. She would later become a full-time stay at home Mom raising Jameson who was her greatest joy in life. In her spare time while raising her son, she helped a long-time friend establish All Tails-R-Wagging, a Pet Care Service in Wrentham. She supported this business for the last 17 years. There wasn't a business letter, advertisement or client notice that wasn't proofed and edited by Roseanne before it was finalized and sent out.

Over the years, Roseanne enjoyed traveling. She had been to Hawaii, Florida, California and Mexico just to name a few. She loved to take day trips to Foxwoods, Mystic CT, Rockport, Maine, New Hampshire and Gloucester. She loved music, concerts, theatre and any type of shopping.  She was an avid New England sports fan. Roseanne also thoroughly enjoyed playing any type of game. She loved Bingo, Words with Friends, Left-Center-Right. She was a wizard at playing the board game Scrabble and given the number of hours she spent watching one of her favorite game shows, The Price is Right, she would have been a fabulous contestant and a winner at that game too!

Roseanne was all about having a good time! She really enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was a loving free-spirited individual who had an infectious laugh! She will remain in our hearts forever and will be missed by many!
