Obituary

Robert J. Carpenito, 60, of Abilene TX, formerly of Dedham MA, passed away suddenly October 21, 2015 at his home in Abilene. He was raised in Dedham, and graduated from Dedham High School. He entered the U. S. Air Force and served at numerous U. S. Embassy assignments throughout the world, retiring as a SMSgt. after more than 26 years of service, from Dyess AFB in Texas. He enjoyed sports, and most importantly, his grandson, Kevin D. "Giuseppe" Rhems II. He was the son of William & Mary (Jackman) Carpenito. He is survived by his daughter Jessica Rhems and her husband Kevin, of New Orleans, LA., brother William J. Carpenito, and his wife Kathleen, of Bridgewater, MA, sisters Geraldine McGovern of Hyannis, MA, Mary Mackey and her husband David, of Wareham, MA, Laura Kulas and her husband Tuffield of Holbrook, MA, Kathryn Mason and her husband David of Taunton, MA, Ellen Carpenito of Attleboro MA, and his beloved grandson, Kevin D. Rhems II (Giuseppe) of New Orleans. In addition, numerous cousins, nephews, nieces, great nephews and nieces, ex-wife Chung-Ok Nam, of North Carolina, and very close friend Rene McBride of Abilene TX. Funeral services were held Tuesday evening October 27, in Abilene for his friends and associates in Texas. Locally, graveside services are scheduled for 10 AM, Saturday October 31, 2015 at Knollwood Memorial Park, 321 High St. Canton, MA. Visiting hours will be Friday evening, October 30, 2015 6-8 PM at the Faggas Funeral Home, 551 Mt. Auburn St. Watertown, MA.
