A wife and mother more loved you will not find. A person of more character, sense of humor and beauty you will not find. Phyllis (Papajohn) Fassas of Winchester, MA passed away unexpectedly on December 11, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. She was the daughter of Christopher and Nicoletta (Koukos) Papajohn. She was born on February 11, 1930 in Waterbury, Conn. She became a school teacher and moved to Boston, MA where she met her devoted husband of 54 years who she leaves behind, Thomas S. Fassas. She is also survived by her two adoring children, son Randall T. Fassas of Arlington and his companion Trisha and her daughter Christine T. Fassas and her fiance Joseph D. DePietro of Medford. Phyllis is also survived by nephews Christopher and Andre Papajohn and predeceased by her brother Dr. John Papajohn. She had many relatives and friends who will miss her beautiful spirit deeply. Phyllis retired from teaching to devote her life to raising her two children and helping her husband run the family business that they started together. She was a great success at everything she did. Nothing was more important to Phyllis than her family and nothing was more important to them than she was. Family and friends are invited to join in celebrating the life this beautiful soul on Wednesday, December 16th at St. Athanasius Greek Orthodox Church, 4 Appleton Street, Arlington, MA. Calling hours will be from 9:00 to 11:00 am immediately followed by the funeral service at the church. Burial will follow at Wildwood Cemetery in Winchester, MA. Donations can be made in her memory to St. Athanasius Greek Orthodox Church. Her kind spirit and amazing sense of humor will be missed more than words could ever say.......we know her words will keep us laughing and smiling for the rest of our lives.
