Dr. Peter G. Politakis, 58, of Staten Island,NY, formerly of Woburn, Mass., passed away on Tuesday, June 26, 2007 after a brief illness. He was born in Boston, Massachusetts on October 23, 1948 and raised in Woburn, Mass. He attended Woburn Public Schools. He graduated from UMass Amherst, Boston University and received a Ph.D in Artificial Intelligence from Rutgers University in New Jersey. He worked for Digital Equipment Corporation and Hewlett-Packard Company as a Senior Technolocy Consultant. After his retirement from Hewlett-Packard Company, he taught Middle School Math in New York City, New York. He was a kind,gentle, loving, respectful gentleman. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents Milton and Bessie (Katsos) Politakis. He is survived by his wife Chelsey (Arvanitis) Politakis and her daughters; Andrea of Los Angeles, CA and Jennifer and her husband Gary of Upton, Mass. and their children, Cassandra, Jason and Viviana. He is also survived by his sister Jean Politakis of Woburn, Mass. He is also survived by his cousins, John Riley and his wife Cole of Newburyport, Mass., M.J. Dodge and her family of Quincy, Mass. and many relatives and friends. A memorial service will be held at a date to be announced.
