Peter S. Koutsos's Obituary

Peter S. Koutsos, 91, of Watertown, Massachusetts passed away peacefully on February 25, 2022 surrounded by his family.  He was born in Evia, Greece.  Son of the late Stamios and Messina(Martinos) Koutsoukos.  Peter immigrated to the United States in the 1950's , settling in Watertown with his cousin.  He worked in construction and his first job was helping to build Route 128.  He eventually started his own business, Peter's Mini Mart, in Watertown, MA where he was the butcher.  He was very well known throughout the community for his fine cuts of meat and imported Greek foods. In the late 1980's he sold his business and went to work as a butcher for nearly 30 years at Stop and Shop before his retirement.  In his spare time, he enjoyed gardening and loved spending time by the ocean with his family.

He was the devoted husband of the late Peggy (Ohanian) Koutsos.  Loving father of Thomas Tripp, and Debra Charboneau and her husband Alan,Jr.  Cherished grandfather of Alan Charboneau  III and Brandon Charboneau. He was predeceased by his siblings.  Also survived by many relatives and friends.

Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at Taxiarchae Greek Orthodox Church, 25 Bigelow Ave. Watertown, MA at 12:30PM.  Visitation prior to the Service from 11:30AM to 12:30PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made the above named church.  Burial in Ridgelawn Cemetery, Watertown, MA.  Arrangements by Faggas Funeral Home, 551 Mt.
