Peter Spiro Davis

Peter Spiro Davis, 92, of Newburyport, Massachusetts, peacefully passed away on August 25, 2026. Beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, Peter's warmth and kindness will be profoundly missed.

Born in 1934 in Brookline, Massachusetts, Peter married the love of his life, Dorothy (Sideris) Davis, in 1961. A graduate of Northeastern University, he pursued a career as a mechanical engineer and served as a 2nd Lieutenant in the Army Reserves. Peter's work life was marked by various roles in technical manufacturing, culminating in his own successful residential home building business.

His heart belonged to his community and faith, actively engaging with St. Luke’s Greek Orthodox Church in East Longmeadow and the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Newburyport. As a dedicated board member, he led fundraising and food festivals with passion.

Peter relished time spent with family and friends, and enjoyed his hobbies of powerboats, classic cars, and gardening.

He leaves behind his devoted wife Dorothy; his son Spiro Davis and wife Lorelei, along with their daughter Anastasia; his daughter Amalia Davis Lombara and husband John, with their children Lexi, Peter John, and Taylor; and his son Jim Davis and wife Melanie, with their children Demi, Anthia, and Lexin. He is also survived by three brothers and their families, alongside many cherished cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Funeral services will be on Friday, September 4, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral of New England in Boston, MA. Visitation will precede the service from 10:00 – 11:00 AM. Contributions can be made to a charity of one's choice in his memory.

Peter will be laid to rest at Walnut Hill Cemetery in Brookline, Massachusetts. As a proud veteran of the US Army, his legacy of service and devotion endures in the hearts of those who knew him.
