Pearl Meleones, age 89, of Charlotte, NC, formerly of So. Weymouth, MA, died on February 25, 2014. She was the devoted wife of Nicholas Meleones (deceased) for 57 years, loving mother of James Meleones and his wife Eva of Charlotte, NC, and Peter Meleones and his wife Tara, of Long Beach, MS. Pearl was pre-deceased by her sister Helen and brother Nicholas. She is also survived by three loving grandchildren, Nicholas, Allison, and Erin. A graduate of Chelsea, MA High School, she worked for many years at Sears and Aegon USA until retiring in 1990. She proudly worked during World War II as a shipbuilder and welder at the Charlestown, MA Naval Shipyard. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00am at Faggas Funeral Home, 551 Mt. Auburn St., Watertown, MA followed by a funeral service at 11:30 am on March 1st at the Taxiarchae Greek Orthodox Church, 25 Bigelow Ave., Watertown, MA. Burial will be at The Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett, MA.
