Pearl (Antonopoulos) Janis, 96, passed away on Nov. 6, 2017 at Brightview Assisted Living in Arlington, MA. Beloved wife of the late Daniel Janis. Daughter of the late Stella Calogeroplos. Sister of the late Mary Antonopoulos. Aunt of Cathy Kalivas and her husband Charlie. Also survived by 3 great nephews and 1 great great nephew. She was born on April 21, 1921 in Medford, MA where she spent most of her life until moving to Brightview in 2014. As a young working girl she was the bookkeeper for the late Governor John A. Volpe. She spent the winter months in Jupiter, Florida with her late husband Daniel Janis. Funeral Service on Thurs., Nov. 9, 2017 at the Taxiarchae Greek Orthodox Church, 25 Bigelow Ave., Watertown, MA at 12Noon. Visiting hours prior to the Service from 11 to 12Noon at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the above named church for the church renovation project. Burial in Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford, MA.
