Obituary

Miltiades A. Karamechemidis passed away on Wednesday January 11, 2017 , unexpectedly passed away. Loving son of the late George and Alexandra Karamechedis and predeceased sister.He is survived by his sister Helen K.Oliva, his nephew Bartolomeo, niece Alexandra, 2 great nieces & 1 great nephew. Born and raised in Monticello,NY in 1935. He was graduated from Tufts University and Dental School.He served as a Captain in the US Air Force statione in London, England. He settled in Boston where he practiced dentistry for over 50 years, in one of the county's longest running practices established in the 1870's. Even after his retirement in 2011, he remained close with his many beloved patients/friends. He was an avid traveler and enjoyed the arts. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral of New England, 514 Parker St., Boston, MA 02120. Wake will be at 10am immediately followed by Liturgy. Interment at Mount Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge, MA. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Floating Hospital for Children at Tufts Medical Center, 755 Washington St, Boston, MA 02116 or Anatolia College,Suite 704, 18 Tremont St, Boston, MA 02108.
