Michael P. "Satch" Saran, 67, of Waltham, Massachusetts, passed away unexpectedly on February 22, 2022. Born in Waltham, Massachusetts. Son of the late Zoe and Stephen Saran. Michael attended Waltham Public Schools and graduate from Waltham High School in 1972. He worked as a Union carpenter for many years in Local 33.  Throughout the years, he coached his son's sports teams in Waltham Youth Hockey and Warrendale little league.  He loved spending time with his sons and enjoyed many fishing trips on the Cape, catching striper and bass.  He was an avid motorcycle rider.  He loved spending time with his grandchildren. He will be sadly missed.

He was the devoted father of Dereck Saran and his wife Gianna, Jeffrey Saran and his wife Amanda, and Alexander Saran. Grandfather of Josephine, Nico and Amelia Saran. Beloved son of the late Zoe and Stephen Saran. Former husband of Geraldine Keough Saran. Brother of Nick Saran and his wife Dianne. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Funeral Service on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at 10AM at the Faggas Funeral Home, 551 Mt. Auburn St., Watertown, MA. Visitation on Monday, February 28, 2022 from 4PM to 8PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Waltham Youth Hockey, Benevolent Fund, 46 Shirley Road, Waltham, MA  02452.  Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Burial in Mt. Feake Cemetery, Waltham, MA.
