Michael Colivas, 91, of Watertown, MA passed away on October 21, 2024. Born in Kokinorahi, Sparta, Greece, Michael was the eldest child of the late Andrew and Sophia (Vomvoris) Colivas.

Michael was the beloved husband of Canella (Gazetos) Colivas. They were married in Greece in 1960 and had two sons, Andrew and Spiro. In 1968, Michael and his family moved to the United States. Michael went on to have a successful career at Ionics.

Devoted father to Andrew Colivas and his wife Georgia, and Spiro Colivas. Michael was the proud Papou of Michael Colivas and Paulina Colivas, who will cherish his memory. Brother of Areti Tsaparas, the late George Colivas, the late Triantafylli Colivas, and the late Voula Boretos. He is also survived by many relatives and friends here and in Greece. Michael was a parishioner of the Taxiarchae Greek Orthodox Church in Watertown, MA. He enjoyed rooting for his favorite Greek and American sports teams and playing backgammon "tavli" with his friends and family. He will be remembered for his infectious smile, jokes, and his appetite for a fresh, homemade Greek dessert. May his memory be eternal.

Funeral Service will be held on Monday, October 28, 2024 at 10AM at the Taxiarchae Greek Orthodox Church, 25 Bigelow Ave., Watertown, MA. Visitation prior to the Service from 9AM to 10AM at the church.
