Mary Alice Pappastathis (Kinas), of Newton, Mass., born August 29, 1925 in Boston, Mass., passed away on August 14, 2015.Daughter of the late Nicholas A. and Evangelia (Psaradakis) Kinas. Mary was raised in Brighton, Mass. She attended Brighton High School and graduated in 1942. She went to Catherine Gibb School in Boston. She worked as a secretary for the US Airforce. Mary married Evangelos Pappastathis. They owned Peter Carbone Restaurant in Newton, Mass for many years. After their retirement from the restaurant business, they owned a small working farm. Beloved wife of the late Evangelos Pappastathis. Devoted sister of Ernest N. Kinas and his wife Nelly and the late Arthur N., Christopher N. and Infant George N. Kinas. Loving aunt of Ernest S. Kinas, Carol Ann Kinas Stathas and her husband George, and Nickolas A. Kinas and his wife Louiza. Also survived by 3 great nieces, 1 great nephew and many relatives and friends. Funeral from Faggas Funeral Home, 551 Mt. Auburn St., Watertown, MA on Wed., Aug. 19, 2015 at 9AM followed by Service at Taxiarchae Greek Orthodox Church, 25 Bigelow Ave., Watertown, MA at 10am. Visiting hours on Tues., Aug. 18th from 5 to 8pm at the funeral home. Relatives and friends kindly invited to attend.
