Mary (Grigoreas) Kyprianos Ducas, 96, of Highland Beach, FL and Gardner, MA passed away on October 26, 2024.  She was born in Watertown, MA to the late Christopher and Katina (Christopher) Grigoreas.

Mary married George Kyprianos and they raised their three sons in Watertown, MA. In 1971, George was in the process of completing a 69-unit apartment building in Arlington, MA where he died suddenly due to an accident at the age of 41.  Mary's brother-in-law Joe DiGiovanni helped her navigate through the process of completing the project. She continued to manage and own the business that her late husband had started. They were living in Lexington, MA at the time.

After her sons finished school Mary enjoyed traveling and split her time between Woburn, MA, Highland Beach, FL, and Osterville, MA.  Most recently Mary had moved in with her son, Christopher.

Mary loved spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed traveling and preparing amazing Greek cuisine.  She had an infectious sense of humor.  She was a devout Orthodox Christian and had been previously active in her beloved Taxiarchae Greek Church in Watertown, MA, and Saint Mark Greek Orthodox Church of Boca Raton, FL. She was a kind, generous, and loving person.  She was also incredibly competitive at the game of Rummikub.

Mary is survived by her sons, Christopher Kyprianos and his partner Barbara Schmitt, John Kyprianos and his wife Nissy, and the late James Kyprianos.  Beloved sister of Popie DiGiovanni, the late Irene Guglietti, the late Costas Grigoreas, and the beloved sister-in-law of the late Joseph DiGiovanni and the late Tony Guglietti.  Godmother of Kathryn Guglietti, Dr. Janet Welch, Anthony Dimidis, and Evangelia Názou (Ευαγγελία Νάζου of Tinos, Greece).  Also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, November 7, 2024, at the Taxiarchae Greek Orthodox Church, 25 Bigelow Avenue, Watertown, MA at 10:30 AM.  Visitation prior to the Funeral Service from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the church. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.  In lieu of flowers donations in Mary's memory may be made to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA  02284. Burial in Mt. Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge, MA.
