Marion A. (Casali) McCarthy, 95, died peacefully at home on Wednesday May 3, 2017 in Winchester, Ma. She was born in Somerville Massachusetts to James and Lena (Villa) Casali. Marion was wife of John (Jack) McCarthy of Roslindale. They were married for over 52 years before his death in 2002. They had two children and were long time residents of Arlington and Cotuit, where she loved gardening, cooking, dancing, golfing and spending time with family and friends. She also loved taking care of the family dogs Dyson and Eskie. She is survived by her children Christine Goodyear of Winchester and John McCarthy and his wife Rita, of Leominster. She will also be missed by her grandchildren, Brooks and Taylor Goodyear of Winchester, Ryan McCarthy and Tiffany ( Faggas) of Norwood, Kevin McCarthy and Debra( Santiago) of Waltham and her great-grandchildren Collin, Gavin and Evan McCarthy . She will also be missed by Jessica Pankratz of Leominster and her dautghter Sophie Pankranz. Marion is predeceased by her husband Jack McCarthy and brothers Frank, Joseph and James Casali. Marion's family especially would like to acknowledge her dear friend Mary DeLisle, who kept in weekly contact and provided many rides to the rides she provided to the many senior events which they both attended. The family would also like to thank Dr. Alice Kung of MGH and her staff, Partners Healthcare at Home and Care Dimension who provided professional and compassionate care to our mother over the last few weeks. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at St. Eulalia Parish50 Ridge Street, Winchester, Mass at 11AM. Relatives and friends kindly invited to attend. Burial will be private.
