Maria Nassiopoulos, 93, of Somerville, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on September 23, 2021.  Born in Soulou, Megalopoli, Greece.  Daughter of the late George and Stavroula (Theophanopoulos) Makris. Beloved wife of the late Efthymios Nassiopoulos. Devoted mother of George Nassiopoulos, Dimitra Milas and her husband Andy.  Also survived by many nieces, nephews, godchildren, and loving cousins here, in Canada, and in Greece. Maria was an accomplished designer and seamstress. She enjoyed cooking greek cuisine, crafting and spending time with her family.  She was a loving Yiayia to all of the children in her life.  Funeral Service on Monday, September 27, 2021 at the Dormition of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church, 29 Central Street, Somerville, MA at 10:00AM.  Visitation prior to the Service from 9AM to 10AM at the church. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Philoptochos Society at the above named church.  Burial in Lindenwood Cemetery, Stoneham, Mass.
