Kristina Nicole Mey's Obituary

Kristina Nicole Mey Passed suddenly on August 3rd, 2025 at the young age of 28 years.

Born to Steven P. Mey and the late Karen (Tsacoyianis) Mey, on September 27th, 1996. Survived by her brother Steven Patrick Mey, Loving niece of Dean Tsacoyianis and his wife Mary Jane, Gary Tsacoyianis and his wife Rosemary, Paul Mey and his wife Joanne, Michael Mey, Step-Grandmother Gail Mey as well as many cousins, friends, and her beloved dogs Bailey and Dexter.

Pre Deceased By her cherished grandparents George Mey, Donna Marie (Hoff) Mey, Theodore C. Tsacoyianis and his wife Patricia (Diomandes) Tsacoyianis, Aunt Theresa (Mey) Pooler.

Kristina was raised in Watertown where she graduated from Watertown high School (2015) and spent her childhood years running around the house at her family home on Lovell Rd. With her younger brother Stevie. They spent countless hours in the back yard, going to the park and playing with the family dog Wally. She was spoiled by her beloved Yia Yia, and Auntie Margie, and spent days upon days with her cousins, building forts, playing the floor is lava and sitting around the kitchen table joking and laughing uncontrollably.

Kristina enjoyed spending her summer days at Nantasket beach with her Mother, Brother and Cousins. Hours were spent running around the sand, freezing in the water and searching for a woman who walked the beach that they nicknamed "gumby". Every trip ended with a stop at Dairy Queen for a blizzard.

Those who knew her knew how close she was with her family. The relationship she shared with her parents was something special. She spent so much time looking up to her late mother Karen, striving to be just like her. She enjoyed traveling with Karen to her Cheer competitions both local and in other parts of the country, and gained her mother's love for the sun and sand. To her father Steve she was his shining light, and even though she knew how to get under his skin she was a daddy's girl, spoiled accordingly. Even stronger was the bond she shared with her little brother Stevie. Those who watched them grow up together knew them as Stina and Stevie, an inseparable pair that did everything with each other. being close in age they were each others first best friends. They would rarely be seen alone, doing everything as one, from playing together, to supporting each others hobbies and helping each other through the hardest times. without each other neither would have become the wonderful, thoughtful caring adults that they grew to become.

She will be remembered as a feisty kid who grew to be a feisty adult, but had more love for her family and close friends than anyone could imagine. She could always be found in the backyard doing flips and handstands, or sneaking around with her cousin stealing food from the kitchen and running off as if the adults would even care if they caught them. She had such a big heart and an even bigger sense of humor. Her smile would light up the room.

As a teen Kristina began working at the Chateau Restaurant, where her bubbly personality and contagious smile immediately made her a favorite of her coworkers and gained her many long term friends. Outside of work she enjoyed spending time with her friends, going to haunted houses in the fall, and building lego creations.

She was an avid member of the competitive cheer community, where she began as an athlete at a young age at JAG Cheer and Dance competing in numerous competitions both locally and nationwide. This quickly became a cherished activity that she put her all into. As she became an adult she transitioned flawlessly from athlete to coach finding her happy place. Kristina loved teaching and mentoring the numerous young athletes. She truly thrived watching them learn new things and push themselves. the JAG family became a second family to Kristina where the many kids, families, friends and co-workers were lucky enough to feel the love and devotion that she was able to put into her time there.
