Konstantinos Anthony
Koutsis
July 21, 1949 – February 1, 2021
Konstantinos (Kostas) of Braintree, MA passed away peacefully on February 1, 2021 surrounded by his family. Kostas was born in Patra, Greece, the son of Antonios and Paraskevi Koutsis. At the young age of 21, Kostas came to the United States alone with a dream to start a better life for himself and his future family. His hard work paid off and he gave his family everything he didn't have growing up. He never forgot where he came from and he always gave a helping hand to those in need.
The Greek community had the privilege of knowing Kostas for his vocal talents. He sang at thousands of events during his musical career and left behind a lifetime of memories. Many were lucky enough to have him sing not only at their wedding, but their children's wedding, and their grandchildren's baptisms too. His voice touched people's souls, young and old, and we will forever be grateful for the music he left behind.
Kostas was the beloved husband of Maria Makridis Koutsis, with whom he remained happily married to for 44 years. He was loved dearly by his children, Anthony Koutsis of Braintree, MA, Demetrios Koutsis and family of Franklin, MA, and Panayiota Koutsis Mouchlian and family of Braintree, MA, and his three grandchildren, Marianna Koutsis, Christian Mouchlian, and Alena Rose Mouchlian. He was the loving brother of Fioroula Plantza, Christina Mandalis, Ioannis Koutsis, Dionysios Koutsis, Panayiotis Koutsis, Maria Diamantis, and the late Alexandra Ktistis. He was also cherished by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends here and in Greece. His family meant the world to him and he meant the world to his family.
Only a short moment you stayed, but what an imprint your footprints have left on our hearts. A private funeral service will be held at St. Catherine's Greek Orthodox Church. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to St. Catherine's Greek Orthodox Church, 119 Common Street, Braintree, MA. Burial in Forest Hills Cemetery.
