Rev. John Socrates Metallides, 94, of Weymouth, Massachusetts passed away peacefully on February 25, 2025 surrounded by his family.  Born in Katerini, Greece. Son of the late Socrates and Parthena (Sideropoulos) Metallides.  He was the devoted husband of the late Sophia (Pestekides) Metallides.  Devoted father of Kenneth Metallides and David Metallides and his wife Desi.  Cherished Papou of Marilly Alexa Metallides.  He was predeceased by his siblings.  Also survived by many relatives and friends here and in Greece.  Funeral Service on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at The Greek Evangelical Church of Boston, 1115 Centre Street, Newton, Massachusetts.  Visitation will be held prior to the funeral service from 10:00AM to 11:00AM at the church. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.  In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the above named church.  Burial in The Gardens Cemetery, West Roxbury, Massachusetts.
