John J. Lawn of Watertown and Medford died on May 23, 2002 of Cancer. He was born in Drimadoney, County Donegal, Ireland 1n 1930 and emigrated to Boston in 1955. He proudly served as a Watertown police officer for 30 years. Mr. Lawn was an accomplished bagpiper who was well known throughout the Boston area for his talent. He leaves his wife mary (O'Connor) of Watertown formerly of County Colooney, Sligo, Ireland. He also survived by his six children, Teresa Leonard of Watertown, Michael Lawn of Waltham, Sheila Lehane of Brighton, John Lawn of Watertown, Kevin of Glendale, CA and Maureen Guden of Waltham. He also leaves eight grandchildren. He also survived by his sister, Agnes Kelly of Belmont, and two brothers, Francis and Bernard Lawn of Donegal, Ireland and the late Mary Browne of England and several nieces and nephews. He was a former member of the Kevin Barry Pipe Band, the Ancient Order of Hibernians Div. 14, the Irish Social Club of West Roxbury and the Mass Police Association.
