John Nicholas Giacoumakis, 91, of Lynnfield, MA passed away on Wednesday, January 26, 2022.  He was born in Chania, Crete, Greece. Son of the late Nicholas and Kyriaki (Koukaki) Giacoumakis.

He came to United States in 1959 and married Bessie (Demakis) Giacoumakis.  They settled in Lynnfield and started their family.  He loved gardening, reading and spending time with his family. He was a devout Orthodox Christian.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Bessie Giacoumakis. Devoted father of Stanley J. Giacoumakis, and Nicholas J. Giacoumakis and his fiancé Tamie. Cherished grandfather of Vanessa Giacoumakis, Sarah Giacoumakis, and Nicholas J. Giacoumakis, Jr. Loving brother of Stephanos Giacoumakis and his wife Stella, and the late Stelios Giacoumakis, the late Marika Souvlaki, the late Alexandra Valyrakis, and the late Manoli Giacoumakis.  Also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.  Funeral Service on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 the Taxiarchae Greek Orthodox Church, 25 Bigelow Avenue, Watertown, MA at 12 Noon.  Visitation on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at Faggas Funeral Home, 551 Mt. Auburn Street, Watertown, MA  from 5PM to 8PM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.  In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the above named church or to the Alzheimer's Association, 309 Waverly Oaks Road, Waltham, MA  02452.
