Ioannis "John" T. Bougas, of Brighton, Mass., passed away surrounded by his family on April 5, 2017. He was born in Kastanitsa, Kynourias, Greece to Theofanis and Marigo (Soursou) Bougas. He was the beloved husband of Maria (Latsis) Bougas. Devoted father of Theofanis Bougas, and Nektaria Bougas and her husband Taki Kontogianni. Loving Papou of Eleni and Maria Kontogianni. Brother of Pagona Antoniou of Sparti, Greece,Evangelia Lambrinakou of Sparti, Greece,Eirini Tzouvaras of Athens, Greece,Dina Antoniou of Kastanitsa, Kynourias, Greece and the late Vasiliki Mihailidis and he late Panagiotis Bougas. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends here and in Greece. Funeral from the Faggas Funeral Home on on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at 11AM followed by Services at 12:30 PM in St. John The Baptist Greek Orthodox Church, 15 Union Park Street, Boston, MA . Visiting hours on Friday, April 7, 2017 at the Faggas Funeral Home from 4PM to 8PM. Relatives and friends kindly invited to attend. His greatest Joy was to return to his beloved village of Kastanitsa, Kynourias, Greece to spend time with his family and friends. Burial in The Gardens Cemetery, 670 Baker St., West Roxbury, MA.
