John S. Barbas, of Woburn, Massachusetts,passed away unexpectedly on November 2, 2012. He was the son of the late Steve J. and Kalliope (Katramados) Barbas. He is survived by his beloved wife Mary C. (Triantafilou) Barbas. Devoted father of Steven J. Barbas and his wife Belinda, Charles J. Barbas and his wife Sheila, William J. Barbas and his wife Karyl, Gail J. Barbas, Edith Mantsavinos and her husband Charles and Rev. Fr. Theodore J. Barbas and his wife Presbytera Daphne. Loving Papou of Louie, Johnny, Marina, Cliff, Mary, Jackie,Christopher, Yianni, Megan, Cassandra, Eric, Maria, Katerina, Yianni and Thea. Brother of Patricia Barbas and the late Nicholas Barbas. Brother in law of Janet Barbas. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at the Annunciation Church, 70 Montvale Avenue, Woburn, Massachusetts at 10am. Visiting hours will be held on Monday, November 5, 2012 at the church from 3 to 8pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the above named church or to the Metropolis of Boston Camp and Retreat Center. Late Veteran US Army.
