James R. Scrivano, Sr.(Jimmy Vee) of Chelsea, Diamondhead, MS, and the road, September 7, 2019, in Picayune, Mississippi. Husband of Susan Rotolo Madeline of Mississippi, father of James Scrivano Jr. of Slidell, LA, Melinda Scrivano Fuller and her husband Jerome of North Hampton,
NH, and Dorothy McDonald and her spouse Jody Eafrati of Manchester, NH, brother of Carol Scrivano Egidio and her husband Joseph of Wakefield, and the late Anthony Scrivano, Margaret Viola and Marie Bremmer. He also leaves 5 grandchildren,one great granddaughter, several nieces and nephews, many cousins, and thousands of fans he entertained around the country over the years performing as Jimmy Vee. He was the son of the late R. James and Mary (Orfaly) Scrivano. Jimmy was a talented saxophone player and singer and was known for playing the alto and tenor saxophones together. As the leader of bands such as Jimmy Vee and the Misfits, Jimmy Vee and the Scamps, and the Jimmy Vee Show he booked
work for them 52 weeks a year. After retiring from the rigors of being the leader he traveled throughout the south for the last several years performing with Vince Vance and the Valiants. After services in Mississippi there will be a funeral Mass at St. Anthony of Padua
