James Paul McCarthy, of Winter Park, Florida, formerly of Belmont, Massachusetts passed away suddenly on June 24, 2015. Loving son of John McCarthy, Sr and the late Ruth (Fitzgerald) McCarthy. Cherished father of Madison Grace McCarthy. Loving brother of Sr. Patricia McCarthy, O.C.D., Elizabeth Dally and her husband David, John McCarthy and Suzanne Caso and her husband Mark. Loving uncle of Kate Dally, Amanda, Andrew, and Thomas McCarthy, Kristen and Kyle Caso. Also survived by his stepmother, Mary McCarthy, and many relatives and friends. A celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday, July 8, 2015 from 5 to 8pm at the funeral home. A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, July 9, 2015 at St. Jude Parish, 147 Main St., Waltham, MA at 9am. Relatives and friends kindly invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the James McCarthy Memorial Scholarship for the benefit of Madison Grace McCarthy, c/o Belmont Savings Bank, 2 Leonard St., Belmont, Mass. 02478. At the request of the family, burial will be private.
