Kyprianos
December 19, 1955 – September 20, 2020
James Zois Kyprianos, 64, of Woonsocket, Rhode Island passed away on Sunday, September 20, 2020. Born in Boston, Massachusetts, James was the beloved son of Mary (Grigoreas) Ducas and the late George Kyprianos. He graduated high school and continued his education graduating with a bachelors degree in Arts and two masters degrees; one in Preservation and one in Library Science. He did work as a curator of historic homes, including the Munroe Tavern in Lexington, Massachusetts and the Winthrop House in Winthrop, Massachusetts. He did consulting work for the Smithsonian Institute. He was truly one of the best in his field, in the entire country. He also hosted in-depth tours throughout United States and in Greece. He was multi-talented. He was a fabulous cook. Many years ago he was invited to meet the famous chef, Julia Childs. He made a dessert for her, using her cookbook, which she simply loved. Brother of Christopher Kyprianos and John Kyprianos and his wife Nissy. Brother-in-law of Debra Kyprianos. Also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, and many dear friends. He will be sadly missed. Funeral Service on Friday, September 25, 2020 at the Taxiarchae Greek Orthodox Church, 25 Bigelow Avenue, Watertown, Massachusetts at 11AM. There will be a brief visitation from 10AM to 11AM at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations in James memory may be made to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute ,P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284 or via www.dana-farber.org/gift . Burial in Mt. Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge, Massachusetts.
