Avgis-James W., 92, of Watertown. March 7, 2009. Husband of the late Athena M. (Vaios) Avgis. Father of William J. Avgis of Tampa, Florida and Elaine Romano of Watertown. Brother of Alexander W. Avtgis of Watertown, Hope Tragakis of Watertown, Helen Stavros of Stoneham, and the late Mary Colocouris. Grandfather of Barbara Romano, Paul Smith, and Linea Avgis. He is also survived by six great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Faggas Funeral Home, 551 Mt. Auburn St. Watertown on Tuesday March 10th at 10am followed by services in the Greek Orthodox Church (Taxiarchae), 25 Bigelow Ave. Watertown at 11am. Visiting hours on Monday 5-8pm. Burial in Mass.
