James ''Jake'' Anastasiades,76, of Watertown passed away on Friday, March 3 after a strong fight with Emphysema. Slugger as he was called in his younger days, who once had a tryout for major league baseball, Washington Senators. He was born in Boston, Mass. He was the son of the lateChristos and Sophia (Panagos) Anastasiades. He was the husband of the late Louise Jean (Wade)Anastasiades. He is survived by his children, William Anastasiades and his wife Kathleen, Linda Anastasiades, Gary Anastasiades, James Anastasiades and his wife Joanne, Charles Anastasiades, Chris Anastasiades and this wife Rosemarie, Robert Anastasiades and his wife Lynn and Nick Anastasiades. He was the brother of the late Mary Ale, Charles Anastasiades. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Michael, William Jr., Nick, John, Jake, Christopher, Gina, Antonio, Robert Jr Anastasiades, Teresa Moore, Thomas, Michele and Robert Ullo and six great grandchildren.
