Ioannis A. Marmanides, lovingly known as Yani, passed away on November 17, 2023, at the age of 40 in Dedham, MA. He was born on December 17, 1982. Ioannis will be remembered as a caring, loving, and loyal individual. He would go out of his way to help anyone in need and will be missed by all who knew him.

Ioannis is survived by his mother, Sevasti Toula Sfougaristos, his father, Antonios Marmanides, his sisters, Irene Marmanides and Alexia (Marmanides) Sterianos and her husband Jimmy,  and his brothers, Stelios and Joseph Marmanides.  He is also survived by his son, Antonio Marmanides. His stepfather, Philip Bafras and stepmother, Emilia Marmanides. He was an adored uncle to his nephews, Gabriel and Aziz Habr, and his nieces, Zahra Zaatari and Sevi Sterianos.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Efthalia and Ioannis Marmanides, as well as his grandfather, Michael Sfougaristos.

He attended Dedham High School.

A visitation will be held in honor of Ioannis Marmanides on Monday, November 20, 2023, from 5 PM to 7 PM at St. Mark of Ephesus Orthodox Cathedral, 340 Clapboardtree Street, Westwood, MA. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at 11AM at the church. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.  In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the above named church. Burial  immediatelly following  at the Gardens of Gethsemane Cemetery, 670 Baker Street, West Roxbury, MA.
