Helen Sinos, 80, of  Vresthena, Greece and Merrimack, NH passed away peacefully on October 15, 2025 surrounded by her family.  Helen was born in Vresthena, Sparta, Greece to Aristides and Georgia (Rozanitis) Proestakes.

Beloved wife of the late George P. Sinos.  Loving mother of Pauline Dube and her husband Greg Dube, and Christos Sinos and his wife Cynthia Sousa-Sinos.

Also survived by her brother James Proestakes, 4 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren

Helen was predeceased by her sister, Peggy (Proestakes) Primpas and her brother, Peter Proestakes.

She came to America in the 1960's and settled in Boston, MA. Helen was a loving mother who devoted her life to raising her two children after the death of her husband. She worked as a bookkeeper for many years in the meatpacking district of Boston. After retirement she felt most at home in the mountains of Vresthena, Greece and lived proudly in her childhood home that she rebuilt herself over many years. She loved nature and birds, enjoyed cooking and feeding for her family and spending time with grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She was a devout Greek Orthodox Christian.

Funeral Service will be held on Monday, October 20, 2025 at the Taxiarchae Greek Orthodox Church, 25 Bigelow Avenue, Watertown, MA at 10AM.  Visitation will be held from 9:00AM to 10:00AM at the church. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to the above named church.

Burial in Forest Hills Cemetery, Boston, MA.
