Dr. Hassan H. Ali passed away on August 17, 2022 surrounded by his family. Husband of Mervat Zaki Said. Father of Omar Ali and Hesham Ali. Janazah Prayers for brother Hassan will be held at the Islamic Center of Boston in Wayland this coming Friday, August 19th, 2022 at approximately 1:30PM, following the Juma prayers. The burial will follow at the Forest Hills Cemetery at 95 Forest Hills Ave, Jamaica Plain, MA 02130.

Dr. Hassan H. Retired Massachusetts General Hospital Anesthesiologist and Harvard Medical School Emeritus Professor of Anesthesia, Dr. Hassan H. Ali of Winchester, MA, died peacefully at his home on August 17th, surrounded by his family. Dr. Ali was a world-renowned pioneer, innovator, and inventor, in the field of muscle relaxants. He is survived by his beloved wife, Mervat, and two sons, Omar and Hesham. A Funeral Service was hosted by the Islamic Center of Boston, followed by burial at Forest Hills Cemetery. The same dedication that he showed in serving the Islamic community, he also brought to his career as an anesthesiologist. He served as Professor of Anesthesia at Harvard Medical School, as well as Anesthetist at the Department of Anesthesia, Critical Care, and Pain Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital. Moreover, he was a world-renowned pioneer and innovator in the field of muscle relaxants.
