September 1, 1951 – August 16, 2023
Harry Gennis passed away on August 16, 2023, comfortably in his home in Concord, Massachusetts. Harry graduated from Arlington High School, where he excelled in academics and athletics. He attended Northeastern and UMass Amherst, and received an MBA from Boston University. He had a long career as a computer programmer. Harry had a gift for coaching and taught his and hundreds of other children to play soccer, basketball, baseball and softball. He played competitive volleyball well into his sixties. He was a big brother, fun uncle, and friendly neighbor. He loved Jeopardy and crossword puzzles, watching Patriots games with his siblings, and attending church every Sunday.
Harry is survived by his loving wife, Pauline Gennis, and his children, George Gennis and his fiance Sarah Burr, and Angelina Gennis and her husband, Ross Collins. He was grandfather and close companion to Leo Collins. He is survived by his brothers, Thomas and his wife Aida, Peter and Charles Gennis, and his sister, Mary Anne Schubert and her husband David. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Prayers will be offered during visiting hours on Friday, August 18 at 4pm at Faggas Funeral Home in Watertown. Family and friends welcomed.
