Gina Isabelle Friedman

December 2, 1931 - March 10, 2022

Gina I. Friedman (Spadaro), 90, of Newton MA, passed away due to natural causes on March 10 th , 2022. Beloved mother to Sandy, Frank, and Joel, and Grandmother to Gianna, she was born in New York City, raised in Connecticut and lived in Massachusetts for over 60 years, including Cambridge, Lexington, Sharon, and Belmont.

She was very creative and extremely intelligent. She loved square dancing, creating sculptures, sewing, cooking, painting, and other creative endeavors. She was always focused on eating healthy and regular exercise that included lots of walking. She almost never got sick and said she never missed one day of elementary school. She was also a voracious reader and kept a journal in her later years.

She held various jobs, but really enjoyed her time at Metromedia Paging Services in the 1980s and 90s. She was very well liked and had a joyous sense of humor. She would often say that she was "busy laughing at life."

Services were private. We want to thank the staff at Care One Newton, who cared for our mother for the past 15 years.
