George Paras, 88, of Arlington, MA passed away peacefully on June 25, 2026 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Perivolia, Megalopoli, Greece. Son of the late Nikitas and Konstandina (Artikopoulos) Paraskevopoulos.
George came to United States in 1966. He married the love of his life, Panagiota Klironomos and they made their home in Arlington, MA where they raised their two children, Nikitas and Dina. He worked very hard to support his wife and children. He owned and operated George's Pub and Grill in Cambridge for over 20 years. After he closed the business he continued to stay busy. He would often go to his son's restaurant in Beverly, MA to lend a hand where ever he was needed. He helped with food prep or would go to the store and pick up groceries for the restaurant. He never stopped working and did it all with a smile.
When he was not working, he enjoyed fishing on Cape Cod. He loved the ocean and would bring home the day's catch to prepare for dinner. He was also and avid soccer fan but most of all his happiness was spending time with his wife, his children and grandchildren. He adored his grandchildren. They were the light of his life.
He was the beloved husband of Panagiota (Klironomos) Paras. Devoted father of Nikitas Paras and his wife Doreida, and Dina Poulos. Loving father- in- law of the late Dean Poulos, cherished Papou of George Paras and Gabriela Paras. Loving brother of Popi Biskine, Ioanna Koniaris and her husband Yianni, Angelo Paras, the late Dimitrios Paras, the late Christos Paras, and the late Vasiliki Paras. Loving brother-in-law of Stella Paras. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends here and in Greece.
May his memory be eternal.
