George Panagopoulos, Jr, 53, of Waltham, MA, left us unexpectedly on July 16, 2026. Born in Boston, MA, to George and Maria Panagopoulos, he found his passion early on in the family restaurant business. His warmth and charisma turned casual encounters into lasting friendships, and his love for conversation made every customer feel special.

George had a zest for life, from exploring Boston’s night scene to savoring its culinary delights. His enthusiasm for luxury cars led him to open a thriving dealership, where his sharp business acumen and engaging personality shone brightly.

 George cherished traveling to new places with his loved ones. His spirit and joy will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He leaves behind his wife Janet Panagopoulos; his mother Maria; his stepson Sebastian; his brother Mario and sister-in-law Carla; as well as his nephews, Christian and Tyler. He was predeceased by his father, George Panagopoulos. He is also remembered fondly by numerous relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, July 27, 2026, at 12:30 PM at Taxiarchae Greek Orthodox Church in Watertown, MA, with a visitation beginning at 12 PM. All are welcome to honor his memory. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the church in his name.

He will be laid to rest at The Gardens Cemetery, West Roxbury, MA.
