George C. Fountas of Newton passed away on May 9, 2020. Born on June 20, 1950 in Ipswich, Massachusetts to the late Frank G. and Athena "Nellie" (Galanis) Fountas. Devote brother of Sophia Fountas. In 1978 George began working as an electrician for Westinghouse Electrical as well as managing two Dunkin Donut locations, Rte.9 and Beacon Street. In early 2002 he started to work with two independent electrical contractors.  Also survived by many cousins and dear friends in Canada, Greece, Ipswich, Rowley, Groton, MA, Pennsylvania and Florida.  As a result of the ongoing health crisis in our world and love and concern of our family and friends George's funeral service will be private followed by internment at Newton Cemetery, Newton, MA.
