Derderian
January 10, 1928 – September 29, 2022
George Derderian , 94, of Scituate, born in Boston, Massachusetts on January 10 ,1928 passed away in his home after a brief illness, on September 29, 2022, surrounded by four generations of his loving family.
He married the love of his life, Gloria Parsekian in 1954, who survives him. George also leaves his 5 children, 10 grandchildren and soon to be 21 great grandchildren. George's memory will be carried on by Mark Derderian , his wife Heather and family, Glenn Derderian , his wife Sue and family, Craig Derderian , his wife Nancy and family, Deborah Derderian Demetriades , her husband Ted and family, John Derderian , his wife Pisamai and family, Jacqueline Keshishian and family, sister-in-law Mary Jane Parsekian , and family and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition, George had nieces, nephews and cousins that he dearly loved.
George was predeceased by his parents Minas and Eliza Kalayan Derderian and his sister Alice and brother-in-law Arcen Arcenian , brother-in-law David Parsekian , and sister-in law Diana Parsekian Thomas and her husband Bill.
George enlisted in the United States Navy and was proud to have served his beloved country and to be a veteran of WW II. He flew the American flag in front of his home with deep pride.
George always worked hard and held many jobs after his n aval service. He owned and operated a TV repair shop in New Hampshire for many years. He later changed careers and became a valuable employee at Star Market in Quincy, MA. Then, in 1978 George and Gloria founded Intercity Press, a very successful printing business, which they and their children diligently operated until their retirement in 2001.
Later in life he enjoyed traveling with his wife and making new friends. George felt close to all his relatives near and far, and visit with them whenever possible. George was extremely proud of his Armenian heritage and was glad to have had the opportunity to travel to Armenia.
His warm, charming, loving and outgoing personality was a magnet to all who met him.
George was a resourceful, self-taught jack of all trades , and always had a project to work on. There was nothing he couldn't do if he put his mind to it.
He will be d eeply missed by everyone who knew him.
Family and friends are invited to atte nd his memorial service , which will be held on Tuesday , October 4th, at the South Shore Baptist Church, 578 Main Street , Hingham, MA. 02043.
Greetings will be from 10:30 to 11:00 AM. The funeral service will be at 11:00 AM sharp. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers , donations can be made, in George's name , to South Shore Baptist Church for their Missions Program.
