George J. Arvanitis, 93, of Allston, MA passed away on February 23, 2022. He was born in Skopelos, Mytilene, Greece.  Son of the late Yiannis and Paraskevi (Karantonis) Arvanitis.

He came to America with his family. He worked as the custodian at Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church in Cambridge for more than 28 years. He loved gardening and cooking when he was not at his beloved church.  He is survived by his beloved wife Kleanthe (Giannikou) Arvanitis. Devoted father of John Arvanitis and his wife Nopi, Stratis Arvanitis and his wife Maria. Loving Pappou of George Arvanitis and his wife Shelby, Maria Arvanitis, Michael Arvanitis, and George Arvanitis.  Brother of Panayioti Arvanitis and his wife Popi, Dimitris Arvanitis and his wife Maria, and the late Evangelia Girginis and her late husband Vangeli, the late Maria Agratellis and her late husband Panayioti,and the late Stratis Arvanitis and his late wife Demetra. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Funeral Service on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church, 14 Magazine  Street, Cambridge, MA .  Visitation prior to the Service from 9:30AM to 10:30AM at the church.  In lieu of flowers ,donations in his memory may be made to Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church. Burial in Edgell Grove Cemetery, Framingham, MA.
