February 25, 1933 – June 29, 2024
Faye Weston, 91, of Wellesley, MA formerly of Newton, MA passed away on June 29, 2024.
Born in Kansas in 1933 she was a graduate of the University of Kansas School of Social Work and Harvard School of Public Health. Since 1967 she has lived in West Newton where she was actively involved in the Garden Club and the Senior center, until recently when she moved to Wellesley. With a love of music she often attended the opening week at Tanglewood and frequently followed the Metropolitan Opera series. Curious about the world, she has visited London, Austria, Paris, Turkey, Israel, Kenya, St Petersburg and also followed the Smithsonian travel sessions on TV.
Faye was a regular member of the Catholic community which originally gathered at Brandeis University, attended monthly meetings with women from Sacred Threads to engage in conversations and enrich her Spirituality and more recently has been part of the worshipping community at the Elizabeth Seton residence in Wellesley.
She is loved and admired by friends for her bright mind, quick wit and friendly humble demeanor. She thoroughly enjoyed going out for a meal, competing in Scrabble, participating in Tai Chi and following the news on MSNBC.
Faye is predeceased by her parents, Michael and Amsteen Weaver, her husband, Dr Franklin Weston and her daughter Trudi.
Funeral services will be held at Faggas Funeral Home,551 Mt. Auburn Street, Watertown, MA at 10AM, followed by internment at Mount Auburn Cemetery.
