Evangelos G. Noukas was born on June, 16th, 1954 in Karditsa ,Greece to George Noukas and Anastasia Noukas. He was the older brother of Nikos Noukas and Elias Noukas.
He went by the name of Angelo. He completed his secondary education in Karditsa and immigrated to the United States in 1974 thus beginning his next chapter. He attended Keene State College in NH and worked his way through school as a short order cook, quickly becoming promoted as head chef at the Ramada. This is where he developed his passion and lifelong love of cooking and preparing meals for family and friends. He eventually pursued his Masters Degree in accounting at Bentley College in Waltham where he graduated with honors. He had a very successful and rewarding career as a CPA. He made deep connections with his clients and helped many Greek entrepreneurs and businesses. In 1986 he became a father to his one and only beloved Son, George Noukas. Angelo had many passions and talents. Besides his love for cooking he also collected fine wines. He always had a very artistic sensibility and love for aesthetics and became an avid art and antique collector. He was very passionate and knowledgeable about antiques from all over the world. His home was like a museum. Later in his life he became an artist himself! He created beautiful lamps and taught himself woodworking and made custom furniture. Angelo liked to spend his time with friends and knew how to have a good time. He could be found at any live Bouzouki performances in the Boston area, and holding court with an air of aristocracy at the Greek social clubs in Somerville and Cambridge. He travelled to Greece yearly and maintained close friendships with his friends despite distance and time. His larger than life personality and cooking will be dearly missed. He is survived by his Son George Noukas, daughter in law, Gina Noukas, his younger brother, Elias Noukas, his Nephew George Noukas, Niece Paula Noukas her husband Tom Taylor, and great nephews and nieces Henry, Alex, and Iris Taylor.
