Evangela (Kalivas) Douros  Of West Roxbury, Mass., passed away peacefully on March 9, 2023, surrounded by her loved ones. Beloved wife of late Konstantinos Douros. Devoted mother of John Douros and his wife Debbie, Maria Toffoloni and her husband Joseph, and Sophia Douros. Loving grandmother of Konstantinos and Yianni Douros, Litsa Levesque and her husband Jeremy, and Evagelia, Katerina and Nikoletta Toffoloni. Doting great grandmother of Axel Levesque. Also survived by her siblings and friends here and in Greece.

Together, with her husband and three children, Evangela made the journey from Athens to America for a better life for her children and grandchildren. With hard work, many sacrifices, and lots of laughter, she created countless opportunities for her family for generations to come. Not only will her children and grandchildren continue to build on top of the foundation she made for them, but they will also proudly cherish and pass down her mother tongue, her recipes, her traditions, her stories, and her wisdom. Those who were fortunate enough to have met Evangela will never forget her endless joy and kindness, and those who were blessed enough to know and love her will keep her warmth in their hearts forever.

Her beautiful life will be celebrated on March 16, 2023, at 11 AM at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral of New England, Parker & Ruggles Sts, Boston, MA. Visitation prior to the Service from 9:30 to 11AM at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Metropolis of Boston 162 Goddard Avenue, Brookline, MA. Burial in Gardens at Gardens Cemetery, West Roxbury MA.
