Emorfily Potsidis of Boston, MA, age 90, fell asleep to the Lord on November 27, 2021 after a long battle with heart disease. Born in Kozani, Greece, December 25, 1930  to Parthena and Panayiotis Moumoulidis. Beloved wife to the late Ioannis Potsidis. Devoted mother of George Potsidis, Kostantinos Potsidis and his wife Panayiotia, Haralambos Potsidis and his wife Deborah. Cherished grandmother to Emorfily Potsidis, Palasa Iliakostas and her husband Nectarios, Sophia Potsidis and her husband Rabi, John Potsidis and his wife Melody, Barbara Winslow, and John Potsidis. Cherished great grandmother to Evangelia, Iacovos, Amiras and Alex. Loving sister to the late Themistoklis Amarantidis, Eleni Pesiridis, the late Kiriaki Tsaousidis and Sophia Geratz. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends here in US and in Greece. Emorfily was the child of Greek Pontian refugees from Pontus and lived through the Nazi occupation of Greece. She endured the hardest of times with grace and resilience. Emorfily had a passion for Greek Pontian music. She loved to sing and dance. A charismatic woman with a contagious smile who touched the hearts of many. Loved the simpler things in life. Enjoyed Greek Pontian cuisine, the company of family and her many friends. A great woman who will be dearly missed.

Due to pandemic concerns, there will be private visitation from 10AM to 11AM followed by a private funeral service at 11AM on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at Saint John the Baptist Greek Orthodox church, 15 Union Park Street, Boston, MA. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the above named church. Burial at Forest Hills Cemetery, Boston, MA.
